Château du Bec du Gave enjoys an exceptional location in the South of Landes, at the confluence of the Adour and Gave, in the charming village of Port-de-Lanne. We are located on the edge of the river, approximately 2 km from the center of the village, located in the heights.

Our geographical location allows you to enjoy the gentleness of the countryside, the joys of the Atlantic Coast and all the visits to be made in Les Landes

Tourist brochures are in your rooms and your hosts are able to advise you on the best places in the surrounding area. The tourist offices in the region are also very dynamic and will be able to advise you, in particular the Tourist Office of the Vallée du Kiwi, located in Peyrehorade, 9 km away.

Very close to the Château du Bec du Gave, we suggest you visit the Arthouse Abbey (10km), dating from the 12th century and offering the international ceramics festival the Pentecost weekend, but also the visit to the Abbaye de Sorde (11km) on the Way of Saint-Jacques-de -Compostela and the Château de Laàs (48km).

Discovering the French Basque Country Basque villages

The Basque villages are known for their charm and culture. Among them, Espelette (57km) is an essential stopover for food lovers, it is famous for its chili pepper. Saint Jean Pied de Port (70km), for its part, is a medieval village located on the road to Santiago de Compostela. With its ramparts, its citadel and its cobbled streets, it offers a journey back in time. In addition to these two villages, it is interesting to discover Ainhoa (64km), a typical village with its half-timbered houses and red roofs, as well as Sare (65km) , which has a tourist train allowing you to discover spectacular landscapes.

Rest, relaxation and appeasement Spa towns

The spa towns offer a unique experience. Cambo-les-Bains (52km) is a town located at the gateway to the Basque Country, famous for its thermal baths and botanical gardens. The thermal baths of Dax (25km) are among the oldest in France. The city is known for its thermal waters which are used to treat many ailments. Eugénie-les-Bains (125 km) is a town which has retained its old-world charm. These three spa towns offer experiences of relaxation and well-being.

Bordeaux (170km) is an hour's drive from Château du Bec du Gave and is a must-see destination for wine lovers. The city is full of wine cellars and bars, offering a variety of local and international wines. The Arcachon Basin, located about an hour and a half away, is an unmissable place for enthusiasts of water sports. The fine sandy beaches, the dunes (like the Dune du Pilat) and the view of the Cap Ferret lighthouse make this place a popular place all year round.

Located about an hour and a half from Château du Bec du Gave, Pau, Tarbes and Lourdesare towns to visit during your 'a stay in the region. Pau (85km), a city of art and history, is famous for its castle, which today houses the National Museum of the Château de Pau, as well as for its beautiful walk along the Gave. Tarbes (120km) is known for its National Stud Farm, its Massey garden and its Tango festival. Finally, Lourdes (120km) is a major Catholic pilgrimage site, which attracts millions of visitors from all over the world each year.

San Sebastian (90km), for its part, is a seaside town renowned for its pintxos, its fine sandy beaches and its historic center.
